Haiti Relief
This weekend I will be introducing to you the necklace I have designed to raise money for Haiti relief.
As with many of my pieces, this necklace has a story. The story is similar to that of the piece I designed for Hurricane Katrina relief...because I believe it still "fits" very well.
My hope and desire is that as you wear the piece, you will know that you have made a contribution to the relief efforts going on in that country. But also, that it will serve as a constant reminder...whether that causes you to pray...or to become even more involved.
My sister in law just returned from a week long medical trip there...and I cannot begin to fathom all that is needed. One thing she mentioned is the need for tents...now and ongoing.
I am trying to finalize an organization that will be the "best" fit for our donations. Maybe one that is somehow involved with providing tents. If you have any suggestions...I would greatly appreciate it.
I will be donating 100% of the proceeds....because my heart is breaking and this is the least I can do with the talents I have been given.
