Fashion's Night OUT 2011

Fashion's Night OUT 2011
Fashion.
And a night to celebrate fashion.
Truly...what could be better?
Last year, MY city Grand Rapids, Michigan decided to partner with the heavy hitter fashion locations and host a simultaneous FNO and it was amazing. So what exactly IS FNO? This is how they verse it, and when they say it so well, sometimes it just bears repeating!
ABOUT FASHION’S NIGHT OUT: Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) is an unprecedented global initiative originally created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry’s economy during the recession. On September 8, 2011, in response to overwhelming demand, Fashion’s Night Out will return to New York City and over 250 cities nationwide to highlight fashion and support retail with exciting events that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows and musical performances. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC &; Company, and the City of New York.
Tomorrow is my daughters 12th birthday, and while we would love to be a part of the fun, this year we are choosing to do more "family-like" activities. Translate? The men in our life, aka her brother and dad, would not be caught DEAD taking part in any FNO activities. Oh well, c'est la vie!
last years #FNO - my fashionable girls + one additional diva
But since I cringe a little at not being a part of it all, the fashion diva that lives inside of me...I said inside of me, I did not say I was a fashion diva...again just being clear here! Ahem, as I was saying, the fashion diva inside of me is insisting on partnering in some way.
Light bulb!
Girls night IN virtual Fashion Night Out style. I know it sounds confusing, but it just might work!
Tomorrow evening while cities across the country are participating in the celebration of all things fashionable, boosting the industry's economy and putting the fun back into shopping,
xoxo,
lisa
